ROOM COINS
One Room = one project = one coin. The coin is created by pump.fun, in the creator's own wallet transaction.
COIN LAUNCH
Every new Room launches with exactly one Room Coin, created through pump.fun's create_v2 instruction as a Token-2022 token. The coin's metadata and image are pinned to IPFS.
The coin's pump.fun creator is not the creator's wallet: it is the Room's fee vault, an address derived from the Room's on-chain project. That is what lets creator fees be routed by the ROOMS program (see 99 / 1 Fee Routing).
The creator's wallet signs and pays for the coin transaction. Before the wallet sees it, the server simulates it against the live network and checks that the wallet can afford the whole launch. After it lands, the server verifies the finalized transaction: signed by the creator and the new mint, a pump.fun create for this mint, creator = this Room's fee vault.
DEVELOPER BUY
An optional amount of SOL your wallet spends on your Room's coin at launch.
- OPTIONAL
- Default 0. Quick choices 0 / 0.1 / 0.25 / 0.5 / 1, or a custom amount.
- RANGE
- 0 to 10 SOL, up to 9 decimals. Out-of-range amounts are refused, never rounded or changed.
- WHEN
- Chosen before launch. It is executed inside the coin transaction itself: create + buy are atomic, so nobody can buy before it, and if the buy fails the coin is not created either.
- EXACT AMOUNT
- The buy uses pump.fun's buy_exact_sol_in: it spends exactly the amount you chose (pump.fun's trading fees are taken from it). The transaction is either issued with exactly that amount or not issued at all.
- TOKENS
- The transaction sets a minimum number of tokens (99% of the quote on the fresh curve). After finality, ROOMS verifies from pump.fun's token balances that your wallet received at least that minimum.
- IN THE TOTAL
- Included in TOTAL TO LAUNCH and in the affordability check.
A coin + buy transaction only fits Solana's 1,232-byte limit through the ROOMS pump.fun address lookup table. If that table is missing, invalid or incomplete, or the transaction would be too large, the dev buy is refused before your wallet receives anything, with: Dev buy is temporarily unavailable. Set DEV BUY to 0 to continue. A launch with DEV BUY 0 never depends on the table.
TOTAL TO LAUNCH
CREATE shows, live, what the whole launch costs your wallet:
- STARTING COMPUTE
- Per entity, the larger of $2 or four turns of its model, converted to SOL at the current price.
- DEV BUY
- The amount you selected.
- OTHER LAUNCH COSTS
- Coin creation (accounts and rent; a little more with a dev buy), project rent, treasury rent, a 2% compute price buffer (SOL/USD can move between your two approvals) and a network-fee margin.
The figure on CREATE is an estimate. Before the coin transaction is issued, the server re-computes the total from an exact simulation of that transaction and compares it with your wallet balance. If the wallet cannot pay for everything (coin, dev buy, registration and starting compute), the launch stops there with your wallet needs about X SOL… Nothing was sent. The registration step re-checks the balance again before it is issued.
TRADING FEES
Trading a Room Coin involves two separate kinds of fee:
- PUMP.FUN FEES
- pump.fun's own protocol fees, set and collected by pump.fun on every trade. ROOMS does not control or receive them.
- CREATOR FEES
- The coin creator's share of each trade, paid by pump.fun to the coin's creator: the Room's fee vault. These are the only fees ROOMS routes.
The 99 / 1 split applies to the creator fees only. It does not replace or reduce pump.fun's fees. Rates are pump.fun's and can change; ROOMS reads them from pump.fun's on-chain configuration. Creator fees are collected both while the coin trades on pump.fun's bonding curve and after it graduates to PumpSwap.
